Cluster Teacher Network Initiative - 2009: Postponed...

On July 12th through the 16th, 2009 the Covenant Cluster will convene a group of Seminary and College Teachers, Book of Faith Advocates and Synodical Teachers. Together we’ll investigate developments in Biblical scholarship, share teaching approaches, review course syllabi, and evaluate texts and other resources. We’ll look at the teaching and learning taking place in the various syndically-based, non-degree programs.  We’ll worship, eat and socialize together.  And we’ll explore what kinds of ongoing partnership between seminary faculty and synodical teachers—what kind of Cluster Teacher Network—will be most helpful for the future.  By the end of the event we’ll determine ways to remain in an ongoing supportive relationship.

The Covenant Cluster Consultation first met as a group in 2006 at the Merillac Center at the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, KS. Bringing together Lutheran Seminaries, Colleges, Lay Schools and other Life Long Learning partners to envision ways that we could cooperatively serve with each other in theological education for the baptized.
